The New REVA NXR Electric Car

At noon on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 Reva Electric Car Company (Reva) will launch two new M1 classified electric cars in 63 Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA).

The Reva NXR is four chairs, three-door hatchback family car suitable for driving in urban areas which can be ordered at the show, with production scheduled to commence in early 2010.


The showcar, Reva 2011 model year, is the Reva NXG; a sporty two-seater with Targa roof designed by Dilip Chhabria is internationally known as automotive design company DC Design.

Another world-first for Reva at the IAA is to revive the launch, a unique technology to Reva that addresses ‘the anxiety’ and act as a backup fuel tank invisible. Customers only need to call or SMS while Reva remote recharge should they run out of charge. Both NXR Reva and Reva NXG will show again telematics technology. Technology and the price further announcement will be made at the IAA.

Reva’s new website, Revaglobal.com, will appear at the launch vehicles in Frankfurt and customers can enroll in the priority list for new cars on-line.

Reva is a brand of Reva Electric Car Company, a company based in Bangalore was formed as a joint venture between the Maini Group of India and AEV LLC of California and supported by U.S. investors the Global Environment Fund and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.

Currently, Reva sells, or in test marketed in 24 countries around the world and has the largest fleet of electric cars deployed in markets with more than 3000 EVS on the road and more than 70 million kilometers from the user experience.

Building a new company was very low carbon vehicle assembly plant in Bangalore, with a capacity of 30,000 units per year, to accommodate increased production and plans to introduce more steps to begin again that it has a clean and green production.
