Nissan 2010 AltimaNissan Altima is popular, ranked number one in the segment in the 2009 JD Power and Associates Initial Quality Study (IQ), entered the 2010 model year with fresh exterior style, refined interior treatment and a number of technological enhancements to the navigation and entertainment systems. Available in three different models – Altima Sedan, Altima Coupe and Altima Hybrid – 2010 Altimas will be available at Nissan dealers nationwide beginning Monday, October 5.

Now the fourth generation, with nearly 3.2 million units sold worldwide, Altima offers a unique combination of exhilarating driving pleasure, distinctive and sporty design and quality and exceptional value in the mid-size sedan and coupe class.

Again in 2010, Altima is available in a variety of well-equipped trim level designed to attract different buyers’ needs and budgets, including the 175-horsepower 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder and 270 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine – 4-door equipped Altima sedan and the sporty 2-door version of the Altima Coupe.

The Altima Hybrid powertrain couples a special version of Nissan’s QR25 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and electronically controlled CVT with an electric standard forward drive motor / generators. Altima Hybrid is estimated to have a hybrid system net power rating of 198 horsepower (148 kW) while maintaining low tailpipe emissions, income Altima Hybrid’s Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV) rating. EPA estimated fuel 35 mpg City and 33 mpg Highway. Combined with Altima standard 20-gallon fuel tank, the Altima Hybrid has a projected driving range of more than 600 miles between fill-ups.

Among the many changes for all 2010 Altimas restyled hood, grille and front bumper, new wheel designs, a standard Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) in all models, fabric finishers and revised interior, new exterior color options and revised contents of the package. In addition, before the appointment Altima 3.5 SE has been renamed SR 3.5.

Along with the excitement provided by a driver-oriented cockpit and a high level of performance Altima, “entertainment factor” of the Altima interior has been upgraded with a new premium audio packages available that include Bose ® AM / FM audio system with nine speakers, 4.3-inch color display, USB port with iPod ® connectivity, Bluetooth ® Hands-free Phone System, CD-ROM MP3/WMA playback, XM ® Satellite Radio (XM ® subscription required, sold separately) and glass-Monitor.

Also available with the Altima sedan, coupe and hybrid models is the generation Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System 6.5-inch VGA color touch screen display (4.3-inch screen replaces), 9.3GB Music Box for music storage and playback, advanced data including boundary maps speed advice, Zagat restaurant guide, XM NavTraffic ® and XM ® NavWeather (XM ® subscription required, sold separately), Bluetooth ® Streaming Audio, DVD player and RCA inputs to help audio / video connectivity.
