For almost three decades, Volkswagen GTI has represented a powerful combination of sports car-like and looking for fun driving skills in a versatile hatchback design. The all-new 2010 GTI Volkswagen’s sixth generation delivering “hot hatch” lineage, and continued evolution of the award winning formula that has impressed driving fans around the world.

With a completely redesigned exterior, including a more aggressive front end, clean side profile, and more slender hatched area, the sporty GTI who idealize nature. New interior enhancements that help regulate not only the GTI apart from the competition, but also the previous generation, and allows both driver and passengers to enjoy total control and comfort. Exterior

As an icon into the next decade, 2010 GTI two-and four-door model takes a few style cues from the original Mk I, and the more recent past, and their revitalization. Engines and Transmission

Under the tent, the latest version of the GTI is recognized using 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve turbocharged and intercooled four-cylinder gasoline engine with FSI direct fuel injection and maintenance-free hydraulic lifters. Raised for smooth, top-notch performance, the engine features an advanced, full electronic management system that incorporates a drive-by-wire throttle control and FSI fuel injection directly to reduce fuel emissions while improving overall efficiency and power.

Producing 200 horsepower at 5100 rpm and 207 lbs.-ft. torque from 1800 all the way up to 5000 rpm, the GTI’s 2.0-liter engine is ready to take to the streets with violence. With the standard six-speed manual transmission, the GTI can go from zero to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds, and continues to an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph. Power delivery remains smooth and straight across the rpm range, allowing for quick, 7.5 seconds to run 37-62 mph in fifth gear, and finishes with a redline of 6500 rpm. In terms of fuel economy, the 2.0T engine and six-speed manual transmission deliver EPA-estimated 31 mpg on the highway, and 21 mpg in city driving. For drivers who want a traditional manual transmission performance with precision and ease of use of an automatic gearbox, the GTI is available with an optional automatic Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG ®) transmission.

This technologically advanced six-speed automatic transmission system that combines dualclutch involving direct and deadly teeth without the need for a clutch pedal. With a special computer controlled process, one clutch engage the next tooth of the clutch is required while previous tooth removed.
