2009 Auto Finance Excellence Award

Huntington National Bank‘s Auto Finance and Dealer Services Group has been awarded a 2009 Auto Finance Excellence Award by Auto Finance News. Awards are presented each year to companies who have achieved outstanding success or a major contribution to the auto finance industry.

Huntington’s Auto Finance and Dealer Services Group is recognized for engineering the first auto asset-backed securitization transactions, following the decline in the market last year. Transaction is part of the Federal Reserve Asset Backed Term Loan Facility (TALF), and help rebuild this market for the benefit of car dealers and investors. Huntington was honored to do its part to get capital flowing again, and to help restore consumer credit markets to normal.

“Huntington is committed to the Midwest, and to do whatever we can to help the new vehicle franchised dealers in the Midwest rebound,” said Nick Stanutz, Senior Executive Vice President and Auto Dealer Finance & Services executive group. “We have a great team of bankers here, who worked many long hours with our partners, Barclays Capital, to implement an agreement that aims to help the car market.”
