All new 2011 E-Class Cabriolet is the latest addition to the successful Mercedes-Benz E-Class line-up. Sold in the United States in May 2010, an open-top two-door model, which will replace the CLK-Class Cabriolet, will be offered in two model variants in the United States; the V6-powered E350 Cabriolet (268 hp and 258 pounds-ft. Torque) and the V8-powered E550 Cabriolet (382 hp and 391 pounds-ft. torque). New features include automatic stop AIRCAP ®-system design, a modified AIRSCARF ® neck-level heating system and silencer soft top fitted as standard.
® AIRCAP-stop design new automated system will greatly reduce the turbulence in the interior of the new E-Class Cabriolet, creating a sea of warm air. AIRCAP ® consists of two components: the wind deflector which can be extended by about 2.4 inches with a net in the windshield frame and draft-stop service between the back seat.
When the standard AIRCAP ® is combined with an optional AIRSCARF ® system, which is integrated into the front seat backrests and provides warm air through outlets in the head restraints, such as heating function invisible scarf that residents’ head and neck region.
Thanks to the soft top silencer, fitted as standard, even a closed E-Class Cabriolet has one of the quietest interiors in the segment of premium four-seater cabriolets with a fabric roof.
