At the last show in Shanghai, Geely had done much talking with his GE, a near clone of the Rolls-Royce Phantom. The ire of the British firm decided Geely change somewhat tack, and the next exhibition in Beijing, a new Chinese version of this limousine will be unveiled.
The first GE had deeply annoyed at Rolls Royce considering more seriously than to bring the case before the courts. Although Chinese courts are generally due to local firms, Geely has chosen not to push further and therefore upgrade its GE to distinguish it clearly from the British model. While overall volumes remain similar, and it adopts a front that is now over whale mouth wide open as the Rolls-Royce. The slopes are softened with a glass rear quarter less angular. On board, the original throne that was the only back seat disappears, replaced by a more traditional bench seat with center armrest. The leg room is generously sized, and the wall with the driver is maintained.
