This car is Alfa Romeo and Zagato, what better way to celebrate 90 years of collaboration between the two (and the 100th anniversary of Alfa) that offer them, and afford a new car as a birthday gift. This was done Martin Kapp, a collector who commissioned the distinguished achievement by the TZ3 Zagato Corsa. For the owner of TZ and TZ2 (among other Alfas stricken Z), the choice to continue the tradition some 44 years later is natural, especially since the car was presented this weekend at the Concours d’Elegance Villa Este (nice place for a birthday) is not a simple model but a real racing car that does justice to its predecessors.
Based on a carbon fiber shell combined with a tubular structure (to earn the T TZ) which is draped over an aluminum body, the TZ3 uses the V8 of the 8C Competizione. Good exercise and very good result, although one wonders where this may speak to the modern self who prefers the old Coda Tronca fin ugly ducks and other cars racing today.
