The new Volvo generation of models Volvo S80, V70, XC70 and XC60, which can all be a new five-cylinder 2.0L turbo diesel engine equipped. The new 2.0L turbo diesel engine will replace the current 2.4L diesel engine and this will give the Volvo S80, V70, XC70 and XC60 with an output of 163PS and a torque of 400Nm.

The smaller versions of Volvo, such as the C30, S40, V50 and C70 coupe convertible, may also be equipped with a 2.0L engine, which stands as a model D3 with 150hp and a torque of 350Nm available or as a D4 model with 177PS and 400Nm of torque.

Also new is the new 3.0L six-cylinder engine, which has to provide an output of 304PS at 440nm torque.
