2011 Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster

Open, half-naked for the first time in front of the lens of a camera: well, almost naked, it was left to capture the Mercedes AMG Roadster SLS protagonist of these spy photos. The exotic discovery of the Star, early on several occasions for a long time to be seen again after five months from the last sightings.

The new model Affalterbach, of course, will focus on a traditional fabric roof, as seen in these shots of the rest. Nothing official has yet been announced on the date of the debut, but it seems likely that the launch at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, scheduled for September 2011. Sales of the SLS is booming and Mercedes does not intend to burn the Gull Wing business career with the early introduction of an innovation so important.

It should also be noted that the possibility of a big surprise in the trunk of the Roadster has not yet been ruled out entirely: it seems that the naturally aspirated 6.2 V8 from 570 hp in the coupe could give way to the new 5.5 twin-turbo V8.
