2014 BMW i100 Coupe ActiveHybrid

I100 Coupe BMW ActiveHybrid: this could be the name chosen for the hybrid sport that BMW will present in 2014. Together with the small Megacity, it will debut a new Audi sports set against E-Tron and conceptually derived from the prototype Vision EfficientDynamics. The advances are many, as well as the assumptions on the solutions chosen for the mechanics: some will be just the solution of the proposed concept, equipped with two electric motors and a turbodiesel tricilindrico, for a total of about 285 hp, while others will recent 3-liter 6-cylinder turbo N55 to be combined with electric propulsion.

The i100, however, should position itself in a niche of luxury, priced in the range of 100,000, but according to informed sources BMW would provide 35,000 units per year thanks to the availability in Europe and the United States, with the possibility to use different engines in based on the individual market without changing chassis and structural arrangement. The i100 in the past has been repeatedly mentioned as the heir to label the M1.
