
Mercedes introduces new S250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, and announced the first 4-cylinder diesel in the history of the S-Class What only a few years ago seemed impossible has been achieved thanks to the performance of the engine from 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque at just 1600 rpm, thanks to the double charge and common rail direct injection at 2000 bar. The S250 CDI is thus able to declare an average consumption of 5.7 l/100 km and 149 g / km of CO2 emissions, compared to 6.8 l/100 km of the valuable new S350 CDI BlueTEC V6 258 bhp.
This version, as well as new gasoline S350 and S500 BlueEFFICIENCY already made, has a series of Start-Stop system combined with the 7G-TRONIC PLUS, optimized the converter slip and the internal friction. Also new are active engine mounts managed by the electronic board on the basis of engine speed, load and speed, so as to minimize vibration in the cockpit. The S250 CDI is capable of touching 100 km / h acceleration in 8.2 seconds with a top speed of 240 km / h.
