The new Opel Astra Sports Tourer has finally been officially presented by the German company, which has sent out all the photographic material and technical information on behalf of the family model to be presented in “the flesh” at Paris Motor Show in October. The Astra Sports Tourer, which clearly has a close technical relationship with the sedan from which two volumes, will be offered in our markets with an initial range of eight different engines, including petrol and diesel. The units range from small 95 hp 1.3 CDTI with the powerful 1.6 turbo petrol 180 hp.
The most important innovation compared to the sedan from which all engines, is the introduction of a new powerstep for the 1.4 turbo, 120 hp, which joins the familiar unit of 140 hp and gradually replace the more “elderly “1.6-aspirated 115 hp. The new unit will be combined with a manual six-speed transmission, the other petrol turbo.
