The “electric revolution” part of Volkswagen in China, with the presentation of the concept E-Lavida at Beijing Motor Show. This is the electric-drive version of Volkswagen Lavida, sedan-based Golf 4 produced for the Chinese market in joint venture with SAIC. The E-Lavida will serve the House of Wolfsburg to assess the level of interest by the Chinese against electric cars.
The technical details of E-Volkswagen Lavida will be revealed during the Chinese festival. However, the car is a piece of the power generation of Volkswagen, which will be launched in 2013 with the E-Golf. Before the E-Lavida, VW has presented two other electric cars to the stage of concept cars: the E-Up! exhibited at Frankfurt and Milan Taxi unveiled in recent days at the Hannover Fair.
