Zagato presented at the Geneva Motor Perana the final version of the Z-One. Introduced in 2009 as a concept car, the Z-One is ready to go into production. In an interview with Jim Price, CEO of South African Perana Performance Group, we learn that the marketing will begin in England in May and the rest of Europe by 2010, with a slight delay from the first forecast, but at the same time with a very large number of customers interested in purchasing. Production will be limited to 999 pieces per year, thus commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Italian brand.
The definition of the setup of the sport have helped the South African pilot Linderberg and Peter Lee and Noble already chasing rumors about a possible release from competition and further developments of the project. The Z-One is powered by the LS3 6.2-liter V8 with 440 hp and General Motors says a weight of about 1200 kg, with a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. 4.4 meters long, 1.92 wide and high is 1.23: mount front wheels 10 x 18 “with 275/35 ZR18 Michelin tires, while the rear wheels are 12 × 19″ and 345/30 ZR19 tires. If indeed the list price of about € 50,000 were confirmed, it would offer not be missed for many fans, but we are still awaiting definitive data on this.
