At the Detroit Motor Show 2010 was also submitted that the Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept foreshadows the production version, scheduled for 2012. This concept car is a hybrid, whose scheme consists of the 3.6 V6 petrol engine with direct injection combined with an electric motor powered mode Plug-In. Both inside and outside, the XTS Platinum Concept is linked to the current range luxury models like the Cadillac DTS and STS sedans and the SRX and Escalade SUV.

Aesthetically, the Cadillac XTS striking headlights with LED technology and 20-inch alloy wheels that are well suited to all-wheel drive car. Inside, however, the scene is dominated by roots and skin, while the center console is made of aluminum. In addition, the XTS Concept is full of advanced technology such as Adaptive Forward Lighting, which is the technology that allows the headlights to follow the direction of the front wheels to the benefit of greater visibility and therefore safety.

The Concept Cadillac XTS Platinum is 517 cm long, 190 cm wide and 150 cm high, while the wheelbase measures 284 cm. Regarding technical aspects, the car is equipped with the U.S. hybrid PHEV, Hybrid sull’Escalade already seen. In practice, the XTS able to move, with only the electric motor, with technology plug-in, fully charged in only 5 hours.
