2011 Range Rover V8 TD

Land Rover wants to renew the engine that drives one of his most beautiful terrain ever, even considered a status symbol: the Range Rover. The famous English suv, he did indulge dozens of bodybuilders and trainers in general, continues to be talked about as if he could not do without. This time, however, is not a tuner to consider the SUV in question or a new version out of the pencil of a bodybuilder whimsical, but the news comes directly from the mother, perhaps unintentionally, made it clear that there will be a new engine fitted to the Range Rover.

It will be even an engine with eight-cylinder V architecture, but will be increased airspace. The new V8 diesel will be powered by 4.4 liter, turbocharged, who probably will replace the engine that is currently mounted on the vehicle, namely the 3.6-liter V8. With this different approach to motoring, the Range Rover is expected to cost something more like 3.000,00 euro.

It follows that the price, turnkey, should be around EUR 90,000.00. The new V8 engine should deliver 312 hp 4.4 cc, 15% more than the old model, with 700 Nm of torque. It would be 10% more than the previous model and was also tied to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The performances are brilliant, as the car would be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.6 seconds and touch a maximum speed of 208 km / h.

The average consumption should, however, stand at around 10.2 l/100 km with CO2 emissions equivalent to 264 g / km, a good 10% less than the previous version. The automatic transmission should be the same as the Jaguar, with a large knob disappeared. With the new engine also debuted new colors Baltic Blue and White Fuji Alaska. The sale is expected by October.
