
At the Geneva Motor Show 2010 Hyundai came up with two concept cars, the Hyundai i-Flow and ix35 FCEVO. While the second is based on a technology not immediately applicable (hydrogen), the first is a “simple” hybrid. What makes us think that we will see on our roads as it is its concept car look. However, the i-Flow is not just an exercise in style. Hyundai will make a commercial product as soon as possible, since it plans to equip the price of a new representative of the D-segment – the new Sonata, or better, the i40.
Aesthetically, the Hyundai i-Flow continues what has already been initiated by Hyundai ix35, the SUV presented at the last Motor Show. E ‘Fluidic Sculpture keyword of the new design center for home Hyundai, a name that fits perfectly with the design of interior and exterior of this sedan.
And ‘as if everything was put to swirl – see the bridge – and then to solidify control. It ‘s long 4.780 m wide, 1.850 and 1.420 meters high. From a technical standpoint, the i-Flow is an ecological car, as you might expect. The sedan is equipped with a diesel four-cylinder and 1.7 liter engine, with turbocharger.
At his side grinding power an electric motor with lithium batteries. The propulsion system is combined with a dual-clutch gearbox with six speeds.
Thanks to hybrid technology, the Hyundai i-Flow is capable of consuming only 3 liters of fuel per 100 km and emit up to 85 grams of CO2. To maximize efficiency, the car was built with ultra lightweight materials
