Yamaha has introduced in recent days, away from the clamor of EICMA 2010, a 250cc version of Tenerè dedicated to the South American market in general and Brazil in particular. This is a bike that loses its tourist features, however, to ensure greater versatility in daily use in both off-road in urban contexts. The aesthetic that draws much of Yamaha XTZ Super Tenere 1200Z but the similarities end there with her older sister: for the Tenerè XTZ 250 has a single cylinder engine with air cooling and electronic injection, can develop a maximum power of 21 hp at 8000 rpm.

The chassis is very essential: tubular steel frame, suspension excursions of 220 mm and 200 mm respectively for the front and rear and the rear wheel 21 “which, together with the whole undersized, allows to have better feeling in the dirt . The braking system has front discs 245 mm (with dual-piston caliper) and rear 200 mm from a narrow to a single piston caliper.

The bike is currently available only in South America at a price that, taking into account the average exchange rate of Reais (Brazilian currency), is about 5400 euro.

This bike will be difficult for new arrivals at a European market that now rewards far greater capacity bike, but the fact remains that the house of Iwata has prepared a very good model, with the only drawback is the price a bit high view of the envelope the bike, however, similar (if not equal, at least for the engine) to 250 Tricker 2010 version at the time sold only in Japan.
