Honda seems willing to apply the technology of dual-clutch transmission (DCT, Dual Clutch Transmission) to the new version of the CBR 1000 RR, which is developing and could probably be presented to the 2010 edition of ‘EICMA exhibition in Milan in which the Honda recently decided to return after the lump sum last year.

As far as is known, the DCT system would be in many respects similar to that developed for the VFR 1200 F and in fact have characteristics of less complexity than the illustrious predecessor: in fact the least need of comfort required by this type of bike make it possible to use less sophisticated electronics, with special sensors and cheapest in the DCT sport at the end would cost less than present on the 1200 VFR F.

The great unknown, however, concerns how to take the idea of an automatic / sequential series of super sports purists, has always been very reluctant, if not suspicious, in relation to electronic updates, so much so that a system such as the ABS has not some background from the commercial point of view on motion of this type.

The house still golden wing seems determined to go his own way and create a new generation of super exploiting the best technologies from the world competitions.

Personally I support the philosophy of the Japanese, who once again is proving to think in an innovative way to its two wheels and want to respond to the challenge by raising his BMW S 1000 RR.
