Ducati Multistrada 1200

After the Multistrada first presented in 2003 and designed by Pierre Terreblanche, Ducati tries again and wins the lottery.
At EICMA 2009, the new model offers an exceptional driving comfort thanks to its enduro road, but the 150 horses to 189 kg, the traction control, electronic suspension and ABS offer superbike dreams provide the rider total control of the medium and high performance.

On sale in March 2010, you can choose between two different versions: the base and S (which is supposed to Special).
Different colors and especially the cost, the basic version has set the DTC (Ducati Traction Control), adjustable in 8 levels and 3 mapping engine, the S version has a budget much richer (and DucatiElectronicSuspension including ABS) and is available with the Sport package for those who want more (with the rear fender louvers and carbon folders engine and front air intakes) or with the Touring package for those who want to take his wife on vacation (with heated grips, center stand and bags side).

Despite the € 5,000 that the distance from the base, it seems that the S version to collect more popular among motorcyclists. It will be that this model can be handled easily with one finger and the engine mapping and suspension adjustment.
This is indeed the big news of the new Multistrada: a display on the left to select the block electric riding mode best suited to road conditions.

There are four preset configurations:

- SPORT (150 horsepower, drive trim, low-intervention of the DTC, set on low);
- Touring (150 hp, trim comfortable DTC on the middle tier);
- URBAN (100 hp, trim, soft DTC on high);
- ENDURO (100 hp, trim, soft DTC set to the very low level).

But it’s over. True connoisseurs will be able to afford to set custom parameters from the menu and store management to measure riding mode.

For those still not convinced Ducati provides:
- Whether the electronic key, which allows the ignition even two meters away, is the key to classical;
- 3lt capacity for the tail section;
- Electric steering lock;
- Adjustable windshield with 6cm of travel;
- Two 12V power outlets on the sides of the bike.
