The 2011 Ford Focus will have a version of electricity for the U.S. market. The announcement was made by U.S. manufacturer has also specified what will be the first markets in which the zero-emission car will be sold in 2011. There have been no reported data on the autonomy and performance of the car, which is powered by an electric drive with a lithium-ion battery for 23 kWh. The Ford Focus power will be realized by using the same platform as the Ford Focus 2011 standard.

“There is great excitement and enthusiasm in America for the Focus electricity – said Mark Fields, Ford president of America – We want to satisfy this passion by building our first 100% electric car for passenger transport, making it available for the greatest number of lead markets as possible. ”

The first city where the Ford Focus 2011 will be sold electricity are Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, New York, Orlando, Phoenix, Tucson, Portland, Raleigh Durham, Richmond, Seattle and Washington.
