The Indian manufacturer LML has prepared a version for the track of his Star, two-wheeled vehicle that would become the biggest rival of all Vespa focusing on lower prices and acceptable quality (and still improving) even for the larger markets mature, which so far have given a warm welcome to this house in Asia.
The new creature is called Star Stroke and is an absolute novelty in the sense that he had never even heard of the advances granted by the Indian house before EICMA 2010.
New Star has a single cylinder four-stroke internal combustion engine made by Polini (displacement of 165 cc, bore x stroke equal to 57.8 x 60 mm) distribution with two valves and one camshaft in the head, by Mikuni 22 mm and forced air cooling.
In terms of cycling, the frame is made of a composite shell and steel tubes, whilst the suspension are multi-adjustable with reinforcements or stiffening (to make them suitable for the whole run). The braking system has a front floating disc 200 mm stainless steel with a corrugated profile and the rear drum of 150 mm in diameter.
The four-speed manual transmission, electric starting is that foot and semi slick tires soft compound front and medium rear to complete the technical equipment of the two-wheeled vehicle that could perhaps become a player in a league championship organized just from LML and Polini.
