Porsche introduces new 911 GT3 R, the replacement for the 911 GT3 Cup S. The new car is designed to participate in the FIA GT Championship GT3 in the category and is based on the new 911 GT3 Cup 2010 and the purpose of the technicians is to provide a quick car but also easier to drive than before. All models are approved from the bottom of the revised Porsche 911 GT3 RS road.
The GT3 R weighs 1200 kg and its 6-cylinder boxer led to 4-liter 480 hp. The transmission is a sequential 6-speed, with “throttle-blip” the accelerator for ease of use. The car is also equipped with ABS and traction control and roadways, as well as the new Cup, have been widened to improve stability. The car will be previewed at the Birmingham Motor Show in January 14, 2010 and thereafter will be available in spring at a price of € 279,000 plus taxes.
