According to “Auto Express”, the forthcoming Rio Kia cee’d will be proposed and also in “hot hatch” with a diesel engine. He revealed an insider of the Korean house, which aims to compete with already Skoda Fabia and Octavia models proposed in the RS version. The first “hot hatch” of the Kia Rio will be waiting for 2012 and equipped with the 1.7 CRDi engine over 150 hp.
The new Kia cee’d sports car, however, will only come later and will be driven by the more powerful 2.0-liter CRDi which will deliver over 180 hp. As for other projects, Kia is determined to reject the proposed anti Mazda MX-5 roadster made by the designer Peter Schreyer, why not consistent with the financial plans of the Korean house‘s plans to increase its presence in China. However, a sports car might come in the future, but only after the Hyundai Veloster series.
