Bamboo Rinspeed will present the concept at the next Geneva Motor Show in March 2011. The prototype is named after the wide use of bamboo fiber for the interior, which can accommodate 4 people. The convertible body reflects the style of “spiaggine” of the ’60s and ’70s, with a modern interpretation of the lines: the only protection offered to occupants is ensured by the windshield and the awning fabric, while there are no windows side.
The propulsion, as is appropriate now to every concept car, is provided by an electric motor, as is also the electric folding scooter available on board. According to the press release it is a real return to the origins, the basis of mobility, without unnecessary frills and details will be revealed before the debut in Switzerland.
