Mass production of the electric extended-range Chevrolet Volt has begun. The first model came off the production line, a car that in its own way marks a historic turning point in automotive technology, will be auctioned for charity. The entry of the Volt marks the beginning of the competition in the electric mobility. The car of General Motors is in fact the most serious rival to the 100% electric sedan Nissan Leaf. The Chevrolet Volt is produced by the factories of Detroit-Hamtramck and the auction will take place directly inside the factory. The proceeds from the sale of the car will go in favor of the city‘s public schools.

The first time it will be painted the same color in which the car was on: Viridian Joule. The interiors are clear with dark inserts. The car is equipped with Premium Trim Package, Rear view camera and parking assistance system. The starting price will be $ 50,000, while the list price is $ 41,000.
