The Ford Transit vans is one of the world’s most popular and is now ready to enter the race for sustainable mobility. Commercial vehicles, battery-powered equipment by the company Azure Dynamics, will be offered an initial list of selected customers as early as 2011. There are ten companies that have agreed to receive and test the electrical Transit for a total of 150 models of battery-powered Ford Transit. The largest order was placed by a company that takes care of logistics, which required 20 electric vans.
This van is based on zero-emission model long wheelbase Ford Transit Connect and is equipped with an engine powered by batteries. The range of the vehicle on a full charge can reach 130 km.
