The leadership of Mercedes North America have indicated they intend to achieve in the C-Class Coupe AMG Black Series version, equipped with the 5.5 twin-turbo V8 introduced in the new S 63 AMG. It is unclear however whether the eight-cylinder engine will be offered in a “full power from 544 hp – frankly unlikely to use the Performance Package (571 HP) – share or weakened to 500 hp, enough power already to create a step with respect to Standard AMG (460 hp). The sports car will debut at the beginning of the Star in 2011 during the Detroit Motor Show (15-23 January) in a “smooth”, while the AMG Black Series to be delayed at least twelve months.
