Future versions AMG Mercedes SLK-based and will use the new C-Class Coupe 5.5 V8 engine, available in aspirated version produced 428 hp and a starting unit with Twin Turbo. According to reports from Auto Week – the source of rumors – this brand new eight-cylinder engine will maintain the angle between the cylinder banks 90 degrees and the system for the deactivation of the cylinders under certain driving conditions, with much higher mileage than the current 5.5 . The new SLK 55 AMG will be presented at the next Frankfurt Motor Show (15-25 September).
