The German carmaker Porsche has launched a limited edition of the Porsche 911, its most famous model. Available in coupe and convertible Porsche 911 Black Edition will be built in 1,911 pieces. The initiative is part of the marketing policy of the mark to keep alive the interest around the model, while waiting for the transition from the new Porsche 997 Porsche 991 to be presented in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car can be purchased from Euro 85,538 for the coupe and convertible for 96,843 euros.
The Porsche 911 Black Edition is powered by the same 3.6 boxer engine from 345 hp Porsche Carrera able to take the car from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. The PDK dual-clutch gearbox is offered as an option. The top speed is 290 km / h with the manual transmission and 285 km / h with the PDK.
Externally, the Black Edition is distinguished by the livery Basalt Black Metallic. Everything on this car is black, including the brake calipers. Plaques identifying Black Edition decorate various parts of the car while the bridge is highlighted by elements of metalized plastic.
The limited edition Porsche 911 Black Edition, unlike other specialized forms of the model as the GTS and the Speedster, has not been introduced directly to the top of the range. In any case, those who purchased one of these special versions may turn up their noses at the frequency with which the mark produced exclusive models.
